Domodedovo Airport has enough resources for territorial expansion – 9,500 hectares - which is more than three times the size of Europe's largest hubs of Paris, Amsterdam and Frankfurt. The reserved land resources allow to construct up to 9 runways in Domodedovo.
Moscow Domodedovo Airport is the largest airport in Russia and Europe in terms of passenger traffic, according to the ACI classification. Following 2011, the airport has served 25,70, 610 people. *According to expert assessment of DME, the total number of transfer passengers is approximately two times higher, as many travelers prefer to buy several tickets to various parts of the route, instead of making single operation.
