Zaporizhstal Continues Health-Improving Season
OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2012. The traditional check-in of the veterans to “Metallurg” boarding house (Novokonstantinovka vill., Azov region). The enterprise’s management took care for 476 labour veterans were able to improve their health in one of the best resorts on the shores of Azov Sea. Major part of the vouchers cost for the veterans the Works’ took over.
As of today, only sanatorium-preventorium and “Metallurg” recreation center, located in Khortytsya island, out of all social sphere objects, had changed the owner and left the Works. However, the Works concluded cooperation agreements with these objects for organization of rest and recovery for their employees and veterans. The Works’ management intends to continue to pursue an active social policy aimed at creating a good rest and recovery for the Works’ workers and their families.
For 8 months of 2012, “Zaporizhstal” Integrated Works submitted more than UAH 27 million for maintenance of rest and recovery facilities. This enabled the Company to provide a full rest and health recovery for about 12 thousand employees, their families and veterans of the enterprise.
There is “Metallurg” boarding house and “Nadezhda” recreation center on Azov Sea shore, “Metallurg” sanatorium-preventorium and recreation center on Khortytsya island, “Brigantine” sports camp for the youth on Bayda island, “Sputnik” and “Molodaya Guardia” Children's Health Centers — for the Zaporizhstal’s employees services.
Traditionally, “Zaporizhstal” financed the work of doctors in child-health centers. Besides experienced pediatricians, in “Sputnik” a dentist received the patients, in " Molodaya Guardia " — an ophthalmologist’s cabinet was open where children in need could be treated or get free preventive services. Thus, for three shifts, 1523 children had improved their health in the Children's Health Centers of the Works.
"All items of the Collective Agreement concerning rest and recovery of the workers, their family members and the veterans of the Works would be strictly followed, — the General Director of JSC “Zaporizhstal” Rostislav Shurma said. — All that administration, trade union and workers' collective have agreed upon are our mutual obligations, which are being fully implemented".
