Viktor Yanukovych: Level of Pension Continues to Grow
OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2012. The level of pensions will always be growing. It was stated by the President at the meeting of the Committee on Economic Reforms.
“In comparison to 2009 minimum pension has grown by 65%, average – by 34%. In the first half of 2012 – almost by 14%,” the President said.
Viktor Yanukovych also noted that currently more than 13 million pensioners received increased pensions. “Two and a half years ago, more than 10 million pensioners received pension less than 1000 UAH,” he said adding that currently the given figure was 3.7 million.
“Gradually, in parallel with economic growth, we will solve this issue completely. Labor pension can’t be less than 1000 UAH. It is a priority for the Government,” the President said.
The Head of State also stressed the importance of raising pensions for war veterans.
