Passenger Traffic in Chisinau Airport Grew 15,54%
OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2012. Within 8 months of 2011 services of the airport were provided to 695 281 passengers. In August, 2012 the passenger traffic made up 158 200 in the Chisinau’s airport, 20.16% up as compared with indicators of last August.
The most popular destinations of the first 8 months of 2012 were Moscow (25.37%), Istanbul (12.2%), Antlaya (9.88%), Verona (6.27%), Munich (5.65%) and Milan (4.5%). In August, 2012 the greatest growth of the traffic fell to the following destinations: Surgut (+75%), Rome (+73.42%), Verona (+73.01%), Bucharest (+71.93%), Munich (+40%) Antalya (+38.64%) and Istanbul (+22.85%).
The most asked-for destinations in August, 2012 were Moscow (22.3%), Antlaya (12.8%), Istanbul (9.93%), Verona (7.18%), Rome (5.6%) and Munich (4.87%). The Chisinau Airport International is the main air gateway of Moldova from which 17 companies are transporting passengers in 28 directions all over the world.
It partners with 14 overseas companies and 4 national carriers. Chisinau International Airport served 1045975 passengers in 2011, which is 11.6% more than in 2010 and a record-breaking indicator ever recorded in the company.
