OREANDA-NEWS. September 07, 2012. Jia Baojun, president of Sinosteel, met with Chinese Ambassador to Cameroon Mr. Wo Ruidi at Sinosteel headquarter. Vice-president of Sinosteel, Mr. Jiang Hong, attended the meeting as well, reported the press-centre of Sinosteel.   

Mr. Jia Baojun accorded Mr. Wo Ruidi a hearty welcome to Sinosteel, and conducted exchanges on the exploration and development of Sinosteel’s projects in Cameroon. Mr. Jia also extended gratitude to Mr. Wo for his long time support. Mr. Jia stated that the development of Sinosteel could not stand without the supports of partners and friends from all walks of life. As an SOE, Sinosteel will actively reinforce exchanges, make best use of resources, establish win-win cooperation and try to expand its business in Cameroon, contributing to the sound long-term economical cooperation between China and Cameroon.

Ambassador Wo Ruidi expressed his thanks and his deep concerned about the progress of Sinosteel’s project in Cameroon. The major purpose of his visit to Sinosteel is to better understand Sinosteel’s overseas strategy, as well as Sinosteel’s future business plan in Cameroon. Mr. Wo also reinforced that developing mineral resources is an important measure to promote the economical development of Cameroon, therefore Sinosteel’s participation is highly expected.

Prior to the meeting, Vice-president Mr. Jiang Hong accompanied Mr. Wo to visit the exhibition room, and had discussions with Mr. Wo regarding ore grade, exploration & development as well as environmental assessment.
