Belarus Raises Retail Prices for Certain Cigarette Brands on Sep 1
OREANDA-NEWS. September 6, 2012. Belarus is raising retail prices for home-made cigarette brands on September 1, 2012 by 3.2-10.1%, depending on the brand, the Tax Ministry of Belarus told reporters.
Cooper brand cigarettes will grow in price 10.6% to Br5.200 per pack (USD 0.62), Glamour - up 10.1% to Br8,200 (USD 0.98).
Monte Carlo, Pall Mall and Imperial brand cigarettes will grow in price by 3.3% to Br6,200 per pack (USD 0.74), Kent cigarette brands – up 5.3% to Br10,000 per pack (USD 1.2).
The retail price of Lucky Strike brand cigarettes will go up 6.3% to Br8,500 per pack, Viceroy – up 3.4% to Br6,100 (USD 0.73), West – up 3.3% to Br6,900 (USD 0.83), Golden Gate – up 3.7% to Br5,600; Mild Seven – up 3.2% to Br9,800 per pack; Camel Black and Camel White – up 6% to Br9,100; other varieties of Camel brand cigarettes will grow 6% to 9,000 Belarusian rubles per pack; Winston – up 6% to Br8,700, Monte Carlo – up 0.1% to Br6,000. The price of Winston Xsence Blue and Winston Xsence Silver brand cigarettes shall stand at 8,500 Belarusian rubles per pack.
The price hike does not affect other cigarette brands on sale in Belarus.
Belarus’ latest increase in cigarette prices occurred on July 1, 2012, by 3.3%-15.2% on average.
