Moldova Has No Reasons to Increase in Prices for Foodstuffs
OREANDA-NEWS. September 06, 2012. There are no reasons in Moldova for a considerable increase in prices for foodstuffs due to the sever drought, - Vasile Bumacov. This was state by Minister of Agriculture and Food industry Vasile Bumacov following the closed sitting of the government matters of assessing the damage done to the agriculture by the drought and raising funds to support growers were discussed at.
The head of the Ministry refused making any projections on a possible growth in prices for agricultural plants and foods caused by the drought and the pricing would depend on the supply-and-demand principle as usual.
According to him, the drought and a decline of the crop will rather affect Moldova’s export than the domestic market.
