OREANDA-NEWS. September 06, 2012. NOMOS-Bank ("NOMOS" or "the Bank"), the second largest private bank in Russia by assets and the eighth largest banking group in Russia, notes the announcement by Otkritie Financial Corporation ("Otkritie") of its intention to purchase a combined 58.5% stake in the Bank, reported the press-centre of NOMOS-Bank.

NOMOS also notes Otkritie's intention to consolidate 100% ownership over the next two years.

NOMOS can confirm that it has not received a formal offer from Otkritie for the outstanding shares owned by minority shareholders at this time but notes Otkritie's statement that all minority shareholders of NOMOS will be made an offer for the purchase of their shares in NOMOS no later than the end of 2012, at a price not lower than USD 14 per GDR, subject to legislative approval.

A further announcement will be made as and when appropriate.
