OREANDA-NEWS. September 05, 2012. Captain Wei Jiafu, Chairman of COSCO Group, paid a courtesy visit to Hong Kong Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying at the office of Hong Kong Chief Executive, reported the press-centre of COSCO Group.

At the meeting, Captain Wei briefed the Chief Executive about the recent developments of COSCO Group and COSCO's shipping business presence in Hong Kong, saying that COSCO will continue to support and contribute to keep and expand Hong Kong's position as an international maritime center.

Mr. Leung welcomed Captain Wei's visit and acknowledged COSCO's growing impacts and contributions to the sound developments and economic prosperity of Hong Kong. He also expressed his expectation to deepen the contact and cooperation of research study between HK SAR government and COSCO Group on issues related to the strengthening of HK's status as an international maritime center.

The meeting was also attended by Jiang Lijun, President of China COSCO Holdings Co. Ltd., Zhang Liang, President of COSCO (Hong Kong) Group, and Liu Xianghao, General Manager of Executive Div of COSCO Group.
