OREANDA-NEWS. September 05, 2012. The trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and Hungary is successful. That was declared by Valeriy Khoroshkovskyi, the First vice Prime Minister of Ukraine during a working meeting with Tibor Navrachich, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Administration and Justice of Hungary, which took place within Valeriy Khoroshkovskyi's visit to Poland.

The First vice Prime Minister of Ukraine stressed the sustainable growth of trade turnover between our countries. "Over the past decade, the trade turnover has increased more than fourfold. Last year we had a gain of almost 30%. This indicates the success of the trade and economic cooperation and the high level of bilateral trust," underscored Valeriy Khoroshkovskyi. He stressed the need to maintain positive dynamics of bilateral trade in the future.

During the meeting parties also discussed cooperation in the field of visas both in a context of bilateral cooperation and in the context of implementation of our country's action plan for liberalization by EU of visa regime for Ukraine.

The First vice Prime Minister of Ukraine welcomed the increase in the number of visas issued by the Hungarian side for Ukrainian citizens. However, he hopes to increase in the issuance of multiple-entry visas for Ukraine's citizens for a period covering from two to five years. Valeriy Khoroshkovskyi stressed that this step is very important for those Ukraine's citizens who have family and business ties in Hungary.

During the meeting parties also discussed the issues of cross-border cooperation. The First vice Prime Minister stated Ukraine is interested in the development of infrastructure on the common state border. "It envisages the construction of new checkpoints and expanding existing ones," he said.
