Ukrainian PM Hopes that Parliament Will Pass Budget until Election
OREANDA-NEWS. September 05, 2012. Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov hopes that the Law of Ukraine "On the State Budget for 2013" would be passed by people's deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of the sixth convocation. The PM said this during a speech in the Parliament.
"We will address the draft budget to the Parliament in accordance with the current legislation. We hope that the Parliament will pass this document by people's deputies of current convocation"- Mykola Azarov said.
He noted that the draft budget for 2013 would be realistic and balanced, and would undertake social initiatives of the President.
According to the Prime Minister, now there are 151 government bills under consideration in the Verkhovna Rada, and 46 have been taken as a basis.
Mykola Azarov said that the Government asks the Verkhovna Rada to urgently consider legislation aimed at implementation of the National Action Plan for 2012 to implement the presidential program of economic reforms in 2010-2014. PM said that it - bills designed to improve the investment climate in the priority sectors of the economy, simplify the business environment, reduction of licensing procedures and licensing, improvement of legislation on safety and food quality, increase energy security, introduction of luxury tax, encouraging the agricultural sector.
"An integral part of the legislative initiatives of the Government is a number of laws aimed at improving the lives of people: from rising incomes to restore order at the pharmaceuticals market. We hope that during this crucial period of the deputies will show the citizens of Ukraine not only upon words, but upon deeds want to improve the quality of life, improve the competitiveness of Ukraine in the world" - the Prime Minister said.
However, he assured the deputies that the Government is set on effective, consistent and constructive cooperation with the Parliament.
