OREANDA-NEWS. Starting from 1 October 2012, Estonian Air will introduce new on-board service concept for Travel Class passengers. The new concept will give the passengers in Travel giving possibility to combine services on checked-in baggage and on-board meal, reported the press-centre of Estonian Air.

The new concept allows the passengers in Travel Class cabin to have more choices to design their travel conditions and get the price which is most suitable to their wallet and wishes: ECO Light (the most affordable fare without baggage and snacks), ECO (checked-in baggage is included, without snacks) and ECO Plus (checked-in baggage and onboard snack are included).

"Customers are asking for more choice and options in tailoring their travel. They want to choose what they pay for. Like Estonian Air, several major European airlines are offering its passengers a variety of choices regarding the ticket conditions. Our new on-board service concept offers passengers a choice regarding baggage and onboard catering before the ticket purchase," said Rauno Parras, the Commercial Manager of Estonian Air.

Estonian Air also has taken steps to widen the choice of the menu on board. For options and prices for various menu items are presented to passengers on the website https://shop.airo.ee/airoshop/ during the flight ticket booking process.

Starting from October, Estonian Air will offer its passengers a flexible variety of meal service on board. The new Sky Bar menu on board includes a choice of freshly made sandwiches and salad. The new Pre-Order menu offers passengers the possibility to pre-order hot meals or snacks in advance from Estonian Air website. The pre-order menu selection varies according to the flight destination and time. Passengers can pre-order delicious meals no later than in 36 hours before the departure time.

Passengers in Premium Class cabin can choose between ECO Flex (baggage and restaurant designed menu is included, ticket change conditions) and Business (baggage and restaurant designed menu is included, ticket change conditions, lounge access and Fast track are included). For passengers in the Premium Class cabin the meal is included in the ticket price: all passengers in the Premium Class cabin may enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner and beverages on all Estonian Air scheduled flights. Menu types are planned according to the flight time and departure. Special meal can be ordered at least 24 h before scheduled departure via Estonian Air Customer Service or your travel agency.

Passengers who have bought their ECO Light or ECO ticets from Estonian Air’s website or Customer Care before 27 August 2012 and travelling after 1 October 2012 will be contacted by Estonian Air to inform about the new concept and the changes in ticketing rules.
