OREANDA-NEWS. September 3, 2012. Robbins EPB 2015-371 Tunneling System has been shipped from the United States to Russia for use in construction of Vykhino - Zhulebino Section of Moscow Subway Taganskaya - Krasnopresnenskaya Line.

The tunneling shield had been manufactured at the plant of Robbins Company in Solon, Ohio and was then disassembled and shipped to Saint Petersburg, Russia. After all components of the sophisticated machinery have been delivered to the city on the Neva River, the shield will be shipped to Moscow, to Lermontovsky Prospekt station construction site.

Robbins Tunneling System will be used for construction of the first 1,914.4-meter long interstation tunnel between Lermontovsky Prospekt station and Vykhino. The system assembly is scheduled for October - November 2012.
