OREANDA-NEWS. September 3, 2012. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company paid RUB 1.2 m to MegaFon JSC as an insurance compensation for the equipment that had been damaged by flooding in Krasnodar Territory.

On July 7, 2012, three cellular base stations of MegaFon JSC suffered damage from exposure to the elements. The damage was fully compensated by Ingosstrakh Insurance Company in accordance with the documentation provided by the Customer.

MegaFon JSC is one of the three largest mobile operators in Russia. Buildings, structures, major network elements (switches), fixed cellular base stations (cellular towers) and mobile cellular base stations (cellular towers mounted on cars), as well as all telecommunications facilities and spare parts that belong to MegaFon are insured by Ingosstrakh Insurance Company. The property of the head office and branches of the Company is insured under the Agreement. The insurance policy is valid throughout Russia and covers the operation, storage, transportation and installation of the property.

Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has been providing property insurance services to MegaFon JSC for 10 years.
