Investments into Long-Term Tangible Assets Declined 0,6% in Moldova
OREANDA-NEWS. September 03, 2012. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the slight decline was determined by fewer investments made in long-term tangible assets by enterprises of the non-public sector of the economy.
In particular, investments in equipment, machines, transport mean made up 2 bln. 377 mln. leis in January-June, 2012, 9.9% down as compared wtiht he same period of the past year and 47.1% of a total volume of investments in long-term tangible assets made during this period. Investments in building and assembly works made up 2 bln. 143 mln. leis, 3.6% down as compared with the same period of 2011 and 42.5% of a total amount of investments.
An amount of other works and capital expenditures made up a sum of 527.36 mln. leis I the first half-year of 2012, 63.9 up and 10.4% of all investments made in long-term tangible assets of Moldova. In the structure of investments in long-term tangible assets about 30.4% of a total sum fell to state enterprises, which drew to 1 bln. 536.9 mln. leis, 22.5% more than in the same period of 2011 A share of investments in companies of the private sector made up 46.7% , 3.7% down as compared with indicators of the past year (2 bln. 355.1 mln. leis). Overseas investments were 367.4 mln leis, 23.7% down.
They made up 7.3% of a total amount of the investments made. Main sources of investing were own funds of legal entities and individuals, which made up 68.6% of a total sum. This was 3.4 p.p. less than in the same period of 2011. Budget investments made up 5.2% of a total sum, 0.3% down as compared with the first half year of 2011.
A share of overseas investments declined 1.2 p.p. to 5.9%. In the structure of investments their greatest amount fell to equipment, machines and transport means, making 47.1% of a total volume and 7.6 p.p. down as compared with the first half-year of 2011.
Investments in buildings and engineering constructions made up the 29.4% share of a total amount of the investments, including 11.7% made in residential construction and 17.7% in other facilities. This was 1.2 p.p. down as compared with the same period of the last year.
