OREANDA-NEWS. September 03, 2012. Prime Minister Mykola Azarov is convinced that Russia's introducing fees for scrappage of motor vehicles does no concern of Ukraine.

This was started by PM in an interview to "Channel 5" TV channel.

"I think that with regard to Ukraine such fee will not be applied", - Mykola Azarov said.

According to him, in the case of the introduction of such a charge, Ukraine will have to resort to the appropriate steps that will lead to a significant increase in the cost of production of the Russian car industry in the domestic market.

The Prime Minister expressed the hope that the countries would find a compromise.

Recall, from September 1, Russia introduced scrappage duty on imported cars. According to experts, it is aimed primarily at the protection of the Russian car industry in a sharp reduction of duties after the entry of Russia into the WTO.
