OREANDA-NEWS. September 03, 2012. To develop an effective dialogue between the federal authorities, businesses and academic community in order to support competition in chemical industry and increase efficiency of government control over compliance with the antimonopoly law, the Federal Antimonopoly Service formed the Expert Council on the Chemical Industry, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia. 

Deputy Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, Andrey Tsyganov is appointed the Chairman of the Expert Council.

The Expert Council is a consultative-advisory body at the Federal Antimonopoly Service.

The main objectives of the Expert Council are: devising and carrying out expert examination of draft laws and other normative legal acts on antimonopoly regulation in the chemical industry; drafting recommendations on improving government control and supervision in the chemical industry; analyzing competitive environment and devising proposals towards advancing competition on the markets of chemical industries; devising recommendations on coordinating efforts of the federal antimonopoly body and the federal executive bodies that regulate the chemical industry, etc.

“The Expert Council on the Chemical Industry at the Federal Antimonopoly Service will help building up a more balanced and transparent system of making the key decisions towards developing competition in the chemical industry, direct involving representatives of both business and academic communities in discussions”, pointed out Deputy Head of FAS, Andrey Tsyganov
