OREANDA-NEWS. August 31, 2012. Within the framework of his working visit to Donetsk region President Viktor Yanukovych examined the reconstruction of private JSC “Donetskstal – metallurgic plant”.

Plant CEO Oleksandr Ryzhenkov reported to the President on the reconstruction of steel work that involves the installation of modern gas cleaning facilities, new electric arc furnace (instead of currently suspended OHF) and the construction of shredding units for scrap metal recycling.

The CEO said that the reconstruction would allow to decrease the prime cost and to reduce amount of harmful emissions into the air.

The Head of State was invited to the solemn opening of the reconstructed plant on March 2013.

In the course of conversation with plant workers Viktor Yanukovych expressed confidence that the reconstruction of the factory will significantly improve working conditions of its workers. “If we have modern technologies and good prime cost then we have the future,” the President said.
