OREANDA-NEWS. August 31, 2012. Within the framework of a free trade area with countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States there have been stipulated strict safeguards for Ukrainian producer while accessing into markets of these countries.

This was reported by Petro Poroshenko, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, making comments on the results of implementing the provisions of ratified agreement on a free trade with the CIS, during a briefing at the Government House by results of a Cabinet meeting.

The Minister recalled that it's come to the end a visit of the Minister of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission Andrey Slyepniov to Ukraine in which frameworks was initialled the draft memorandum of co-ordinating group of trade dialogue between Ukraine and the Eurasian Economic Commission of the Customs Union.

"We have clearly stipulated the protection tools for Ukrainian producers, in particular with regard to access into the markets of the CIS countries, including the possibility to consider issues by relevant arbitration court," said Petro Poroshenko. He also stressed the Action Plan provides significant liberalization of trade restrictions while accessing the Ukrainian producers' products into neighbouring CIS markets.
