OREANDA-NEWS. August 29, 2012. With the aim to fulfill the tasks set to the textile industry of the country in line with the Programme of the President of Turkmenistan on the Social and Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2012-2016 and the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan “On key trends of development of the fabricating industry in Lebap Velayat” construction of a new cotton spinning mill has started in the city of Seydi.

Due to its technological equipment and automation system installed there, the new factory will be one of the most advanced enterprises of the textile industry in Lebap Velayat. It will be a compact enterprise. Main production building, workshops, auxiliary facilities and storehouses will be built on a five-hectare area. The new factory will be supplied with all necessary engineering networks and autonomous life support system, including water, energy, gas and heat supply facilities. When the enterprise achieves its estimated capacity, it will produce 6,000 tons of cotton yarn annually.

Particular attention will be paid to environment protection. The preference will be given to ecologically friendly engineering ideas and the most advanced technologies that will promote increasing the efficiency of nature-conservative measures as well as decreasing industrial wastes.

It is important to note that along with construction of the new facility of the textile industry in the velayat it is also planned to reconstruct and reequip an old cotton spinning factory in Turkmenabat with the production capacity of 4,000 tons of cotton yarn annually.

Opening new cotton spinning mill in Seydi and reconstruction of the Turkmenabat factory will create new jobs in the region. The foreign company entrusted with construction and reconstruction of these industrial facilities will supply spare parts for them and train specialists within two years after putting the enterprises into operation.
