OREANDA-NEWS. August 28, 2012. In the framework of the program of production modernization in OJSC ‘Perm Engine Company" a foundry shop of the enterprise got and mastered new induction furnace produced by "ALD"(Germany) and intended for titanium castings.     

The new furnace features the highest quality of castings and bigger output in comparison with the furnaces used before. This allows not just provide casting for the company own needs, but to place some additional orders.   

In August 2012 "Perm Engine Company" signed a contract with FSUE "SPC of gas turbine building "Salut"" (Moscow) for production of titanium and magnesium castings. Till the end of the year  foundry production of "PMZ" will produce a batch of titanium workpieces of 13 types made of magnesium alloys.  Plus to the workpieces, which had been manufactured in previous years, a series of new pilot items will be produced: casings, flanges, brackets.

- Although the total volume of contract with FSUE "SPC of gas turbine building "Salut"" will make maximum 10% of total annual capacity of our foundry production, this order is very important for us.
