OREANDA-NEWS. August 28, 2012. In Ukraine, a sufficient number of modern plants have been built in order to fully abandon importing metal constructions from the Russian Federation. That was declared by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov after opening the Stalteh Metalware Plant in Brovary, Kyiv region.

"We have actually abandoned the procurement of metal constructions in Russia. Everything we were buying at Russian plants - now we are already able to produce at our enterprises," said the Prime Minister.

He also emphasized that, in particular, the refusal of importing steel constructions would save foreign currency.

Recall, that due to the unreasonable prices for Russian gas, Ukraine shifts its power units into use domestic coal and, according to the Prime Minister, in the future will continue to reduce volumes of hydrocarbons purchasing.
