OREANDA-NEWS. August 27, 2012. President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych ordered to provide state financial support for the construction of subway in Kharkiv, with a view to start the functioning of "Prospekt Pobedy" station, and to continue the projective and preparatory work on the new subway area, starting from "Metrobudivnykiv imeni G.I. Vashchenko" station till "Odeska" station in 2012-2013.

This instruction of the Head of State is the result of his working visit to Kharkiv region.

"Subway in Kharkiv will continue to develop, and its development will depend on the level of funding. We never denied that fact, and we always provided funds for the extension of subway in Kharkiv. I have signed the appropriate instruction, and we will keep it under control. Kharkiv will be funded at the same level as Kyiv," Viktor Yanukovych said during the meeting with media in Kharkiv.

The President added that the state program of development and construction of the subway will definitely be accepted.

He also set a number of other objectives, including:

- develop the issue of providing state financial support for creating in Kharkiv region a year-round regional Center of rehabilitation and promoting healthy lifestyles for children and youth; formation of sports infrastructure of the communal institution “Eastern Ukrainian Olympic training center of winter sports” in 2013;

- develop the mechanism of financial recovery of the state enterprise "Kharkiv Instrumentation Plant im.T.G. Shevchenko" and "Kharkiv State Aircraft Manufacturing Company", and take appropriate measures in the prescribed manner;

- submit proposals for the formation and placement of state orders for the production of aircraft of the types An-74 and An-140 in "Kharkiv State Aircraft Manufacturing Company", and take action in due course to expand the markets for the products of aviation industry;

- accelerate the consideration and approval of the preliminary technical and economic reasoning of the project "Village of the Future" as the part of the National project "Revival of cattle-breeding".
