Moldova, Ukraine Have Common European Vector of Development
OREANDA-NEWS. August 27, 2012. This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Moldova at a press conference occasioned to the 21st anniversary of the independence of Ukraine.
According to the Ambassador, Ukrain ticks to a stable vector of the development which has chosen as early as atthe beginning of the 90-ties. The Ambassador stressed that Ukraine is not going to change it, but is open for cooperation with eastern countries and states of the Eurasian Union a. Ukraine pays special attention to economic and humanitarian cooperation with CIS states.
For example, Ukraine has already initialed Association Agreement and DCFTA with EU and is successfully advancing in the talks on visa regime liberalization. Sergey Pirojkov noted that Moldova is also one of the foremost countries of the Eastern Partnership. He stressed that trade and economic relations between our states had become more brisk.
In 2011, after the 5-year break, the 13th sitting of the joint intergovernmental commission on trade and economic matters and two business forums took place. Bilateral trade between our states exceeded USD 1 bln in 2011. Moldova’s export made up USD 152,9 bln., 67% up as compared with 2010 , whereas its import was USD 641,16 mln. (+21%).
