OREANDA-NEWS. August 24, 2012. In the last days of July the delegation of McDonald’s company has visited one of the largest Russian meat processing enterprise Miratorg Zapad (ABH Miratorg) in Kaliningrad region.

The delegation has included Senior Director of supply chain and procurement development department at McDonald’s Europe Keith Kenny, Commercial Director of the process connected with chicken products MacDonald’s Europe Inma De La Vega, and top management representatives of Russian company sub-divisions.

Representatives of world-known net get acquainted with production cycle of an enterprise, fully reconstructed after the fire that occurred in 2010, and also participated in sampling by taste produced by the enterprise under order of McDonald’s and also estimated the work of special purpose laboratory of a company, placed on the territory of Miratorg Zapad.

“We give a high rating  for work results of Miratorg company concerning the reconstruction of production complex in Kaliningrad, keeping and developing of a team of professionals and also we would like to mention a successful usage of best practices in beef and chicken production” the Director of procurement and work with the suppliers and the Head of quality inspection and goods safety department of McDonald’s in Russia and Eastern Europe Irina Korshunova.

Following the results of negotiations held advance agreements were accepted regarding the development and production on enterprises of new types of products and the development of cooperation between companies hereafter.

It will be recalled that before fire the enterprise provided up to 70% chicken semi-products and more than 40% of beef semi-products for the net McDonald’s in Russia and Former Soviet Republics. Reconstructed enterprise knows no equals in Russia in level of production process organization, standards of sanitary and hygienic safety and applied technologies. Productive capacity of the enterprise comprises 60 thousands tons of semi-products per year. Volume of investments in production is 3,26 billion rubles.
