OREANDA-NEWS. August 24, 2012. The vehicle fleet of Tugnuyskiy open-pit mine has been replenished with a modern flexible hydraulic excavator KOMATSU PC 2000-8 "straight shovel". The excavator is highly flexible and equipped with an energy efficient, eco-friendly, and high-power motor (713 KW/ 956 HP).

Komatsu is equipped with a special rock bucket with XS dipper teeth for hard operating conditions. Its design allows considerable whittling down of the repair expenses. The dipper teeth allow high-performance digging due to its peculiar form. They remain sharp for a long period of time and admit fast and safe replacement.

Durable floating pins constitute another merit of the new excavator. The upper pin of the shovel boom and the upper pin of the shovel stick are floating, what reduces friction and enhances reliability and durability of the equipment.

The design of the excavator PC 2000-8 allows the usage in different mine technical and mining-and-geological conditions. It is compatible with breeds of different strength.

Additional equipment is installed in the bulldozer for the efficient supervision of the vehicle. The system controller checks the oil level in the motor, controls the temperature of the cooling fluid of the motor, etc. In case of error detection the information is displayed on the LCD monitor.

The bulldozer is extremely comfortable for the driver: it possesses large and spacious driver's cab and the seat equipped with a pneumatic suspension arrangement. Also the vehicle is supplied with a joystick steering control which permits making turns and changing the direction by a slight movement of a hand and fingers.
