OREANDA-NEWS. August 24, 2012. According to the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Ukraine, the competent authorities of the Republic of Cyprus are ready to implement a system of electronic visas for Cyprus, which will allow citizens of Ukraine to apply for an entry visa in electronic format, i.e. using email: visa-kiev@mfa.gov.cv.

This system can be used to obtain a single entry visa for a period of not more than 90 days.

In other cases, the citizens of Ukraine will have to be use the standard procedure, that is, to submit the relevant set of documents to the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Ukraine. The Embassy also draws attention to the fact that the above mentioned e-visa will be free to all citizens of Ukraine.

The decision on the introduction of electronic entry visas for citizens of Ukraine was adopted by the Government of the Republic of Cyprus as a result of excellent bilateral relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Cyprus and will positively affect on tourism development between the two countries.

The new system of visas issuance by Cypriot side will soon be working.
