OREANDA-NEWS. August 24, 2012. The Arbitration Court pronounced legitimacy of the decision of the Moscow Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (Moscow OFAS Russia) regarding participants of collusion between taxi companies in Vnukovo. Now “Trans-Free” Ltd. must pay a fine – 515,694 Rubles, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

In spring 2011 experts of Moscow OFAS Russia carried out an unscheduled on-site inspection to verify compliance with the antimonopoly law in “Vnukovo” airport. The inspection revealed that some taxi companies, servicing the airport, obtained exclusive access to the two lanes, closest to the airport terminal, while vehicles of other taxi companies and all private vehicles have to drive on a single lane, the most remote from the airports entries / exits.

In December 2011, having investigated the case, the Commission of Moscow OFAS Russia confirmed the fact of concluding oral anti-competitive agreements by “Vnukovo-Invest” Ltd., “Fortuna-Capital” OJSC, “Trans-Free” Ltd. and “MegapolisAvto” Ltd. and issued a determination to eliminate the violation of the antimonopoly law (Part 2 Article 11 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”).

OFAS held “Trans-Free” Ltd. administratively liable and fined the company 515,694 Rubles.

“Trans-Free” Ltd. and “MegapolisAvto” Ltd. taxi companies disagreed with the decision of Moscow OFAS Russia filed a lawsuit in order to challenge the decision and the administrative sanction. Concluding the hearing, the Court took the side of the antimonopoly body.
