TISCO Says on New Measures in Reuse of BF Slag
OREANDA-NEWS. August 23, 2012. The contract signing ceremony for mine wool project of TISCO was held in the Garden International Hotel, reported the press-centre of TISCO.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Gao Xiangming --- the GM of TISCO, Mr. Liu Fuxing --- the GM of STSS and Mr. Zhang Zhifang --- the vice president of STSS.
Mr. Wang Baidong, the vice president of STSS, chaired the signing ceremony. Representatives from Marubeni, Tanabe and Sane corporations as well as the technician and management participating in the project attended the ceremony.
Mr. Gao Xiangming addressed that, the project of making mine wool with BF melt slag was another siginifant step for TISCO to develop circular economy, it was a pioneering project in China. This project would not only create economy profit for TISCO, but also create considerable environment impact to the energy saving and emission cutting activity. It was hoped that every participants both from TISCO and Japan would devote all their efforts to accomplish the project to a demonstrative one in aspects of circular economy in Chinese steel industry.
All three companies from Japan expressed that they treasured the opportunity of cooperation with TISCO. They would try their best to make good preparation and well implement the contract, so as to promote the application of this technology in China, and make contribution to the technical progress regarding BF slag reuse.
Mr. Makoto Sato from Marubeni, Mr. Masao Kurosaka from Tanabe and Mr.Haruo Muraoka from Sane, as well as manager of TISCO International Trade Company Mr. Zhang Guoqing, director of Equipment and Material Purchasing Dept. Mr. Wang Tianxiang and the project manager Mr. Li Yongnian, on behalf of each side, signed on the contract and extended their best wishes for the success of the cooperation.
It is the first of this kind in China to use BF melt slag to make mine wool. The expected investment of this project is 380 million RMB yuan. It includes a production line of mine wool felt blanket and a line for grain cotton, with a production capability of treating 80, 000 tons of BF slag per year, and a profit of 80 million RMB yuan. The project introduces technology from Japan, which is featured with low energy consumption, less pollution and free emission.
