OREANDA-NEWS. August 22, 2012. In addition to dedicated automobile terminal Commercial Port of Vladivostok commenced to handle import cars and heavy-duty vehicles at multipurpose cargo handling complex located at Berth 44. The berth is situated at south-eastern coast of the Golden   Horn Bay. It’s the area of responsibility of Pervomaiskiy customs point of Vladivostok Customs Authority. The Berth is capable to handle up to 1,000 cars per month.

Cars and heavy-duty vehicles handling is one of the top priorities for the port. Additional facility for handling vehicles will help boost the efficiency of ship handling and provide the customers with a good opportunity to expedite the pick-up of their cargo from the port.

In the first half of 2012 Commercial Port of Vladivostok handled 35,501 cars and heavy-duty vehicles. In total volume the share of import cars amounted to 31,050 units, up 9.6% compared with the same period of 2011.
