OREANDA-NEWS. August 22, 2012. Under the chairmanship of the General Director of “NIBULON” Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, the Deputies General Director, the heads of the company’s departments, the directors of the farming branches of the company there was held the production meeting concerning summing-up the harvesting campaign of early grain crops and also there were discussed perspective plans of the production activity.

The meeting started with summing up totals. Kostyantyn Khmel’nyts’kyy, the Deputy General Director for production, familiarized the participants with the results of the harvesting campaign of early grain crops:

- This year in Ukraine it is said much about unfavourable dry weather conditions of grain crop cultivation. Our company could feel advantages of diversification of agricultural production, as our agricultural commodities are cultivated in 12 regions of Ukraine. Today we are satisfied completely with a good crop yield. One of the tendencies of the last years is a practical absence of low classes of grain wheat. Totally, in the current season there were harvested 96 thousand tons of early grain crops, their level of a yield corresponds with the indices of the last year – 35.9 dt/ha that is by 38.6 more than the average level of a crop yield within Ukraine. We confirm that if all Ukrainian agrarians worked like “NIBULON” Ukraine would be able to grow 80 mln tons of grain crops even in such difficult weather and climatic conditions.

Unfortunately, weather conditions of the second half of spring and summer turned out to be unfavourable to cultivate crops in a number of regions. The most favourable weather was in the Northern and Western regions, and partly in the Eastern one. Harvesting of early grain crops on the area of about 25 thousand ha was started earlier, namely on June 20 in comparison with the last years.

53 units of grain harvesting machinery were engaged in the harvesting campaign. Harvesters of the Southern and Eastern regions were moved to the branches of the Northern region earlier. Due to well-coordinated work of the company’s specialists “NIBULON” did not use hired machinery.

Due to qualitative work of the company’s transport department expenses for transport facilities were reduced almost in 5 times. Opening of the elevators in the Northern region simplified grain harvesting and the branches of Zhytomyr and Vinnytsya regions could feel it, Kostyantyn Khmel’nyts’kyy summed up.

There is no doubt that the main merit of the company’s success belongs to the production units of “NIBULON” within Ukraine. “NIBULON’s” General Director congratulated the directors of the units that become the leaders of this harvesting campaign. Oleksiy Vadaturskyy honoured the best teams with diplomas, thanked the directors of the branches and wished good luck in further activity. The teams of the production units got cash awards.

Thus, the highest crop yield of winter wheat was demonstrated by the branches: “Pryseymivs’ka” – 63.5 dt/ha, “Bystryts’ka” – 53.88 dt/ha, “Mriya” – 53.7 dt/ha. The highest crop yield of winter barley was registered in the branches: “Pivdennyy Bug” – 49.6 dt/ha, “Mriya – 36.2 dt/ha, “Khmil’nyk” – 32.2 dt/ha. The highest crop yield of spring barley was demonstrated by the branches: “Starobil’s’ka” – 35.2 dt/ha, “Svativs’ka” – 32.8 dt/ha, “Troyits’ka” – 32.5 dt/ha. The highest crop yield of winter triticale was observed in the branches: “Pryseymivs’ka” – 54.3 dt/ha, “Kupyans’ka” – 39.6 dt/ha, and “Novopskovs’ka” – 30.7 dt/ha. The highest indices of a crop yield of winter rape were demonstrated by the branches: “Pivdennyy Bug” – 29.5 dt/ha, “Kamyanets’-Podil’s’ka” – 26.3 dt/ha, and “Khmil’nyk” – 20.3 dt/ha.

In the Southern steppe zone “Vradiyivs’ka” branch took the first place, “Prybuzhanivs’ka” branch – the second place, RE “Lidiyivs’ke” – the third place. In the Eastern steppe zone “Troyits’ka” branch took the first place, “Svativs’ka” branch – the second place, “Starobil’s’ka” branch – the third place. In the Central forest-steppe zone “Pryseymivs’ka” branch took the first place, “Chygyryn” branch – the second place, “Kamyanka” branch – the third place. As to the Northern forest-steppe zone “Mriya” branch took the first place, “Kamyanets’-Podil’s’ka” branch – the second place, “Pivdennyy Bug” branch – the third place.

The company’s branches always strive for new records! This year many branches of the company have demonstrated the best results for the whole period of their activity: the branches “Kamyanets’-Podil’s’ka”, “Mriya”, “Chudnivs’ka”, “Romanivs’ka” had the highest indices of a wheat yield, “Starobil’s’ka” branch showed the highest indices of a spring barley yield, “Mriya” branch – the highest indices of a winter barley yield.

Having summed up the harvesting campaign participants of the meeting started to discuss future plans.

In the current season the company plans to plant winter crops on the area of about 30 thousand ha. At present “NIBULON’s” specialists prepare for the autumn sowing campaign. The production department of the company purchases the planting stock of grain crops. In the current season it is planned to purchase stock seeds to the amount of more than 380 tons. At present contracts are signed and delivery of products is also carried out. Total expenses for purchase will be about UAH 1 mln. At present rape plant stock has been purchased to the amount of UAH 1.4 mln to plant on the area of above 2000 ha. The production department has also purchased mineral fertilizers and seed treaters. The company’s specialists plan to renew the machinery and tractor fleet in autumn to the amount of about UAH mln.

“NIBULON” proves again that despite any obstacles the goals will be reached and the company will be proud of its results.
