OREANDA-NEWS. August 22, 2012. The Cabinet of Ministers at its meeting has adopted the Resolution № 558-r "On the preparation and holding of the International Scientific Congress on the subject of information and communications technologies and information society development in Ukraine", to be held in Kyiv in October this year.

The purpose of this legal act is to ensure that Congress would be conducting as a business platform for dialogue of representatives of government, science and business to solve large-scale tasks - development in Ukraine of highly dynamic information economy and society of a free access to information and knowledge.

The adoption of the Resolution of the Cabinet Ministers "On the preparation and holding of the International Scientific Congress on the subject of information and communications technologies and information society development in Ukraine" will ensure the organization of congress conducting and the appropriate level of coordination appropriate preparatory activities of public authorities, to tackle the pressing issues of information and communication technologies in Ukraine, to enable identifying possible areas of its participation in the global market of information and communication technologies.
