Brunswick Rail was named the top operating lessor of freight railcars in Russia and was ranked 4th largest in the rail equipment category by number of owned railcars, according to the 5th annual INFOLine Rail Russia TOP rating of leasing companies published 30 July 2012.

Brunswick Rail actively increased its railcar fleet during the period reviewed by INFOLine. The Company grew both through the purchase of new railcars directly from manufacturers and through M&A transactions. In August 2011, for example, Brunswick Rail purchased rail operator Proftrans, which specialised in transportation of scrap metal. This and other deals enabled Brunswick Rail to both increase its own fleet and to offer a broader set of services.
