Saudi Aramco to Restart Cultural Program
OREANDA-NEWS. August 21, 2012. Crews are putting the finishing touches on the Saudi Aramco Cultural Program for the 'Id Al-Fitr. New editions to the program will delight and educate visitors, reported the press-centre of Saudi Aramco.
The launch of the program on the second day of 'Id will add to the tourism activities in the Eastern Province during the 'Id and continue until Aug. 30, general manager of Public Affairs Essam Z. Tawfiq said.
“After the big success of this summer’s program that attracted a half million visitors in various areas of the Kingdom, we will make sure to present unique educational and entertaining activities for all residents of the Eastern Province and its visitors,” he added. “There will be something for everyone.”
Raed Al-Alouni, manager of the program, said that a village will be dedicated for arts that will include workshops and activities in drawing, carving, cartooning, 3D photography and others.
Going with the happy spirit of the 'Id, the program will feature plays and contests for children as well as educational videos. Also, the 1001 inventions exhibition will continue shedding light on the scientific heritage of the Islamic civilization.
In the Oasis Generation Tent, an exhibition will stimulate the minds and imaginations of children. They can also pick up driving safety basics from Traffic Safety Signature Program Park and compete in the Robolympics.
