POSCO Held Moving-in Ceremony of 4 Large Steel-Structured Pillars
OREANDA-NEWS. August 20, 2012. POSCO held the moving-in ceremony of 4 large steel-structured pillars surrounding the integrated steel plant at the construction site in Cilegon, Indonesia, reported the press-centre of POSCO.
At the event, approximately 200 personnel attended including Cho Noeha (head of Carbon Steel Business) as well as Budi Irmawan, Miscellaneous Industry Director of Indonesia, Lily Herawati, Director of the Investment Coordinating Board of Indonesia, Seung Eunho, Chairman of the Indonesia Korean Association, Song Changgeun, Principal Vice Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce, and officers and employees of Krakatau POSCO and cooperating companies.
The 4 large steel-structured pillars surrounding the main furnace support the surrounding equipment which is connected to the main furnace structure to disperse the load. Once completed in the late November 2013, the first furnace to produce 3 million tons of molten iron annually in Indonesia will go out into the world.
Attendees of the event celebrated the moving-in of the four large steel-structured pillars surrounding the furnace along with a the bolt signing ceremony, once again praying for successful construction and safety of Indonesia`s integrated steel plant.
