OREANDA-NEWS. August 17, 2012. The objects of Transsibneft Company (an affiliate of TRANSNEFT JSC) are positioned significantly far from the fires in the region, in particular it refers to Krasnoyarsky Krai, as Oleg Chepurnoy, the Head of the Company reported.

“Day to day we lead a strict monitoring of the situation. There are no inflammations nearer than 20 km from TRANSSIBNEFT’s objects”, he said. “We are fully equipped and thoroughly prepared for different situations, and there is no need to implement extra measures to increase the safety of the objects”, O.Chepurnoy added.

According to the data of July 24, there were 94 forest fires at 11 thousand 474 sq. hectares on the territory of the Siberian Federal District. The fires burn on the areas of the forest fund in Krasnoyarsky Krai, Tomsk Region, and in Tuva. TRANSSIBNEFT’s oil pipelines go through the territories of the Regions of Omsk, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Kemerovo, Irkutsk, and Krasnoyarsky Krai.
