OREANDA-NEWS. August 17, 2012. PrivatBank has published information about operations that are most frequently proceeded via Internet in countries where the remote banking service Privat24 operates.

As it turned out, topping up mobile phones’ accounts was the most popular Internet-banking service in Ukraine – it amounted more than 60% of Privat24 daily operations. Various payments and replenishing of current and deposit accounts occupied the second place by popularity among Ukrainians (21%). The third most popular service was utility-bills paying via Internet (6.8%).

In Russia, as well as in Ukraine, the most popular service among Privat24 customers was mobile phone accounts’ topping up (48%). It was followed by settlements within Russia (8%), the third place was occupied by payments between clients’ different own bank accounts and card accounts (7.5%).

Among the Privat24 users in Latvia the first place by popularity belonged to international SWIFT-payments. Every day such transactions made up on average 53% of the operations performed by Latvian citizens via Privat24. Money transfers within the country took the second place (28%) and internal transfers between the bank's clients’ accounts and cards – the third one (12.5%).

Privat24 is the most popular Internet banking system in Ukraine and one of the largest in Eastern Europe. It is now available to individuals and corporate clients in Ukraine, Russia, Latvia, Georgia and a number of countries in EU. The total number of Privat24 customers is 4.6 million. Daily, more than 185 thousand transactions are  processed by the system.
