BP Service Stations Now Accepting Payment by Visa payWave
OREANDA-NEWS. August 17, 2012. TNK-BP announces that BP-branded service stations in Moscow and Moscow Region have begun accepting payment via the contactless Visa® payWave system. The stations have already successfully introduced contactless payments using the MasterCard PayPass system, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.
It has now become even easier to buy high-quality branded fuel and accessories at BP’s service stations. The proximity cards enable their owners to pay for purchases with a single movement of the hand – simply by placing the card against the payment terminal. There is no need for the card holder to sign the receipt or enter a pin code if the value of the purchase via the Visa® payWave or Master Card PayPass system does not exceed 1,000 rubles.
“Comfort, security and speed of service are absolute priorities for our company. We are delighted to offer our clients the most up-to-date and convenient technologies that form an integral part of our international standard of service, alongside high-quality BP fuel. The payWave system is a good example of a technology that makes life easier for the motorist”, said Amir Feizulin, TNK-BP’s First Deputy Executive Vice President, Downstream.
