OREANDA-NEWS. August 17, 2012. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, adjusted to inflation, it grew 6.1% in June, 2012 as compared with June, 2011. In the budget-paid sector the average nominal wage was 4 560.5 leis (+14,6% against June, 2011).

In real sector it amounted to 3 617.5 leis (+7.6%). According to NBS, the highest wages were given to employees of the banking sector and averaged 6 715.7 leis, 3.8% up as coampred with the same period of 2011.

The average wage at heat-, power- and water -supplying companies made up 5.298.2 leis (+1.9%). It was 5 298,leis (+15.6%) in education; 4360.9 leis (+5.2%) at realtor companies, – 4 084,9 leis (+11.1%) at transport and communication companies.

The lowest average wages were given to workers of fishery, making 1,610.1 leis (+3 % against June, 2011), and to farmers and workers of forestry, being 2.046.9 leis (+14.9%). Wages remain small in the hotel and restaurant business- 2 492.6 leis (+3%) and trade 2 929.8 (+7.4%).
