Foreign Investors Are Not Satisfied with Investment Climate in Moldova
OREANDA-NEWS. August 17, 2012. In his interview to Moldovan mass media head of the EU delegation to Moldova Dirk Schuebel remarked that authorities of Moldova have to make much more efforts to make procedures connected with entrepreneurship less bureaucratic so that to attract as many as possible foreign investors and provide more contacts with European businessmen.
That was why that last year the EU delegation head supported an idea of creating the European Business Association in Moldova. As for the Deep, Comprehensive and Free Trade Area between EU , Moldova has to implement plenty of reforms, especially in those sectors of national economy which will face extremely competitive markets, like, for example, its agricultural sector, the European official noted.
He referred to experience of Poland farmers of which struck at the membership in EU. “They managed to draw European funds to reform their agricultural sector and now Polish agribusinessmen are enough competitive in the European market”, Dirk Schuebel said. He also expressed willingness of EU to support the adaptation of Moldova to European requirements and was confident that Moldovan goods would be able to compete in European markets.
