OREANDA-NEWS. August 17, 2012. The premier stressed that an official form the Transport ministry can not make decisions which may trigger complicacies in relations with external partners of Moldova.

According to the Premier, the registration of 12 Iranian oil tankers as those flying the flag of Moldova did not damage the image of our country because it was cancelled on the first call. “But the fact of the registration itself signals we have to change the procedure.

There will be a sitting of the government where a new procedure of the registration is to be considered. The registration will be liable to compulsory confirmation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration”, Vladimir Filat said.

As it was said earlier, 12 sea crafts were recorded in a special register of sea crafts of Moldova in the middle of May. Their registration was cancelled as it was established they are operated by an Iranian company and they are applied to sanctions the West has imposed on Iran due to its nuclear program. Now no one vessel relating to Iran is flying the flag of Moldova.
