OREANDA-NEWS. August 16, 2012. Ural Airlines checked in their two millionth passenger since the start of 2012 - Evgeni Chernoskutov, a Yekaterinburg resident on a business trip from the capital of the Urals to Moscow.

It is noteworthy that the frequency of Ural Airlines' jubilee passengers is increasing year by year. Thus, in 2011 the two millionth passenger was checked in at the end of October. At the end of this year the airline, for the first time in its history, is expecting to receive on board passenger # 3,000,000.

In order to celebrate the occasion, the airline organized an offbeat flash mob. A group of special agents was looking for Passenger # 2,000,000 in the secure area of Terminal A.

"This is simply amazing! I was in the other part of the hall and didn't hear them call my name. It's good my colleagues travel along with me - they told me there was a whole search operation set up to find me," Evgeni Chernoskutov says. "I am grateful to Ural Airlines for an incredible surprise like this!"

Upon completion of the ‘covert operation', the lucky passenger was awarded with a gift certificate for a Ekaterinburg-Saint Petersburg-Ekaterinburg flight for two. A fiery dance show was the present from Ural Airlines to all passengers, while Stepan, a big plush airplane, entertained the little ones.

Ural Airlines is among Russia's top 10 airlines in terms of safety level and traffic volume. In 2011, more than 2.5 M passengers used the airline's services. The geography of the airline's flights expands year by year, with a total of more than 120 destinations by now. The basis of the Ural Airlines fleet is the modern and comfortable European Airbus aircraft. As of today, the air carrier operates 24 imported aircraft (15 A320's and 9 A321's).
