OREANDA-NEWS. August 16, 2012. Oranta held a press conference to inform the public about the efforts of raider attack against it and the action taken by Oranta to deal with this seizure. As it turned out the next day in publication of the newspaper Kommersant-Ukraine as of July 27, 2012, an organized group is acting against Oranta on behalf of one of the shareholders of the company, namely the Cyprus company BACKWOOD HOLDINGS LIMITED.

Board of Oranta decided to publicly declare the inadmissibility of such actions of the shareholder in respect of its assets and distributed the Statement of the Board "On the situation around attempts of discredit and raider seizure of Oranta” on 31 of July, 2012.

In this regard, the company finds it necessary to note the following.

Despite the fact that after the above statements of Oranta and the resulting public resonance, slanderous online discredit campaign was terminated, the activity that aims to discredit Oranta in the eyes of its customers continues.

First, Lviv, Kyiv, Poltava and several other regional directorates of Oranta report customer complaints about the phone calls that continue to bother them via personal phones on behalf of the "Fund of policyholders protection”. The callers insistently offer to sign a statement to the National Commission on Regulation of the financial services markets and to the Office of Public Prosecutor against Oranta, and propose to deliver by hand the completed application for signature at a convenient time.

Secondly, the investigation showed that the companies BACKWOOD HOLDINGS LIMITED, WEST MIDLANDS HOLDINGS CORP., LLC "Investment Group" INECO "LLC" Context-Media", "Fund of policyholders protection”, “Rescue Forum of Kyiv” etc. act in concert.

Third, over the past week neither BACKWOOD HOLDINGS LIMITED, nor its representatives have made attempt to contact the Board of Oranta and propose mechanisms for compensation of losses caused by their actions against the company.

Therefore, Oranta considers it necessary to sue the company EASTONE GROUP LIMITED, which mandates BACKWOOD HOLDINGS LIMITED and the BACKWOOD HOLDINGS LIMITED itself, as well as companies WEST MIDLANDS HOLDINGS CORP., LLC "Investment Group" INECO "and LLC "Context-Media". Oranta reserves the right to later expand the list of defendants.

Since the main defendants are foreign companies - EASTONE GROUP LIMITED is registered in the UK, WEST MIDLANDS HOLDINGS CORP is registered in the British Virgin Islands, BACKWOOD HOLDINGS LIMITED – in the Republic of Cyprus – Oranta intends to file a claim to the High Court of Justice in London (UK).

Oranta intends to seek harm reimbursement and compensation for incurred costs. At this time, Oranta forms a team of lawyers and clarifies the structure of the claim. Oranta will later inform the public about the date of the case registration at the High Court of Justice.
