Poliom Lab Carries Out Active Commissioning Works
OREANDA-NEWS. August 16, 2012. In “Poliom” Ltd. one carries out commissioning works of specialized equipment. In July this subdivision actively mastered new laboratory equipment and devices which were installed and tested, reported the press-centre of Titan.
During the week under the leadership of Moscow specialist Vadim Semagayev was carried out commissioning work on liquid chromatograph. This is complex equipment consisting from several blocks: preliminary purification of solvents, three pumps, dynamic mixer, two detectors (spectrofotometric and light scattering detector), thermostat and column. With the help of this device the specialists will detect quantity of stabilizers and other additives in polymer.
The second chromatograph which only recently arrived to the lab, – the gaseous one – is meant for detection of content of methyl and isopropyl alcohol in propylene, and also titre of propylene.
Besides chromatographic equipment the specialists approached to mastering of atomic-absorption spectrofotometr – sophisticated device which is used for conduct of quantitative elemental analysis on atomic specters of absorption. Its principle of operation is based on measuring of quantity of ray of light absorption passing through the atomic steam of examined sample.
Arrived metallographic microscope Altami MET 1M has function of hundredfold magnification and possibility of output of the picture on the monitor. The microscope is necessary for the specialists of the laboratory for operative control of the structure of the powder and polypropylene granules.
One of the last equipment which arrived to “Poliom” Ltd. is a device for Rockwell hardness detection. Based on penetration of solid tip into material and measuring of the depth of penetration, Rockwell method allows to detect hardness of materials. Its commissioning was also conducted under the leadership of the specialist from Moscow.
Both foreign and Russian producers supplied the equipment – companies Zwiсk, Bruker, “Altami” etc.
