OREANDA-NEWS. August 15, 2012. SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev met with the delegation led by Minister of Industry and Energy of Kyrgyzstan Askarbek Shadiyev. SOCAR president welcomed the guests and spoke about the role of oil and gas industry in the rapid and sustainable economic development of Azerbaijan and the achievements gained in recent years.

Rovnag Abdullayev gave detailed information about the regional oil and gas projects carried out in Azerbaijan, as well as SOCAR's large-scale investment programs implemented in the country and abroad.

Minister of Industry and Energy of Kyrgyzstan Askarbek Shadiyev thanked for warm welcoming and spoke about the reforms in his country and said that the Azerbaijan's development model caused great interest. Kyrgyz minister emphasized that they are interested in the cooperation with Azerbaijan, which is known as a reliable partner in the field of production and export of energy resources. SOCAR president said Azerbaijan was open and favorable country for the cooperation and the country attached great importance to the principle of economic effectiveness in the projects it carries out.

The issues that cause mutual interests were discussed at the meeting.
