OREANDA-NEWS. August 14, 2012.  Izhorskiye Zavody, part of OMZ Group, has delivered three hydrocracking reactors, one of them is unique in dimensions and weights, to Tuapse refinery (enters Rosneft).

Hydrocracking reactors for Tuapse refinery are innovative high-tech equipment, designed for deep processing of oil and production of high-quality Euro-5 fuel. The production of reactors was successfully completed in summer 2012. Two reactors weigh more than 600 tons each, the third one is unique in dimensions and weights, its height is 40 meters, diameter is more than 5 meters, weight is about 1,400 tons.

The delivery was unique as for the first time in its history Izhorskiye Zavody delivered three vessels simultaneously, one of them unique in dimensions and weights. The delivery was held for the period of several days – on August 7 the last of the three reactors left Izhorskiye Zavody, on August 10, specialized transporters with vessels crossed the railroad tracks of Oktyabrskaya railway near Metallostroy town, while train service on the stretch of road to Moscow and Murmansk areas was suspended and special trolleys lifted contact wires. After that, the vessels proceeded to Izhorskiye Zavody’s cargo pier in the village of Ust-Slavyanka, where they were loaded onto barges and shipped to the customer on August 13.

The fact that the oldest Russian company, founded by Peter the Great, which this year celebrates 290 years, manufactured these unique products for the modernization of domestic oil and gas industry is a significant event for the Russian machine-building. To date, Izhorskiye Zavody in accordance with a contract signed in 2010, produce three more reactors for Tuapse refinery with similar characteristics overall weight and dimensions, which will be shipped to the customer before the end of this year.
