The MERLION company continues an extensive development of the trend of VAD-distribution and informs about signing a distributor agreement with the company Fortinet (www.fortinet.com), a leader* of the market of solutions in the field of all-round network protection, reported the press-centre of MERLION.

The agreement grants MERLION the status of an “Official distributor of Fortinet in Russia and the CIS”. It has already come into force, it is of unlimited duration and it covers the whole product range of the vendor.

Now the product range of MERLION also includes such solutions of the company Fortinet as secure gateways and complementary products, the unique combination of which provides the highest level of protection of networks, content and applications for enterprises of all sizes, MSSP and providers of telecommunication services. All this enables to reduce the overall cost of ownership and provides flexible, adjustable in their scale options for further expansion.

The leading product of the corporation is a FortiGate solution. This is a product with high performance characteristics due to specialized processors FortiASIC, which combine several levels of security.  FortiGate was developed for unitized control of network hazards, protection against information leakages and their analysis.

Thanks to the agreement with Fortinet we expect an increase of the range of VAD-solutions, offered by MERLION,  attraction of new partners, expansion of business with the existing clients, and, as a result, strengthening of our positions on the market of VAD-distribution,” comments Anton Lukyanov, chief of IT-products purchase department of the MERLION Company. “Within the framework of the development of this product line we are planning to pay special attention to the unique character of the product and its undeniable advantages, such as, for example, the complexity of an offered solution”.

Company Fortinet, in its turn, is attracted by the potential of the Russian market. The vendor expects a dramatic business growth, spreading to all hierarchy levels and high brand awareness in Russia and considers MERLION as a very valuable partner.
