Russian-Moldovan Trade Turnover Increases 21.4% in 1H
OREANDA-NEWS. August 13, 2012. As it was informed in the Customs Service of Russia, so far Russian exports to Moldova in January-June 2012 totalled USD 818.9 million, surpassing by 20.3% in the same period last year (USD 680.6 million).
Deliveries of Moldovan goods to Russia in I half of 2012 rose by 26.8% - to USD 180.6 million. Negative trade balance Russia-Moldova in January-June 2012 totalled USD 638.3 million, an increase of 18.6% compared to the same period last year.
In the I half of 2012, the share of Moldovan-Russian total trade was 0.2%, unchanged compared to the same period last year. According to the Russian Customs Service in 2011 the volume of bilateral trade between Russia and Moldova increased in comparison with 2010 by 27.7% to USD 1 billion 952.2 million, while Russian exports grew by 33.9% - up to USD 1 billion 483.6 million, while delivery of Moldova increased by 11.3% - to USD 468.6 million core of Russia's exports to Moldova in 2011 amounted to mineral raw materials (75.1%), food and agricultural products (7.8%), chemical products (5.4%), machinery, equipment and vehicles (5%).
In the exports from Moldova was dominated by food and agricultural (50.1%), metals and metal products (23.3%), machinery, equipment and vehicles (10.2%), textiles (9.7% .) Commodity structure of mutual supplies between Russia and the right bank and left bank of Moldova is very different.
In barter transactions with Transnistria industrial products prevail, but with the right-bank Moldova – agricultural ones. The share of Transnistria in the turnover Russia-Moldova is about 46%.
