According to the results of June, Domodedovo has announced the finalists of the contest held among the most punctual Russian and foreign airlines operating passenger flights from the airport. In June there was an average of 375 flights from Domodedovo per day. Each flight taking off right it time means dozens of people getting on time to their business meetings or long-awaited vacations, making it to the transfer flights all over the world.

- It is our honour and a great responsibility to participate in a contest held by the largest airport in Russia and Europe, - noted Evgeny Rudenko, Director General of Kogalymavia, - In the following months we will try to hold on to the title of the most punctual airline, received according to the results of June. Our passengers should be insured that Kogalymavia is an airline which makes it possible to plan their flights with highest possible precision.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport has created equal conditions for all air carriers in the competition for the title of the most punctual by dividing the candidates into 8 categories depending on the flight schedule and passenger flow. According to the international experience (Eurocontrol) the contest rules allow additional 15 minutes for unforeseen accidental circumstances.

According to the results of June the following airlines were named as the most punctual air carriers: Transaero with 1 790 on-time flights in the first category; Kolavia, which operated 210 flights exactly according to schedule, in the second category; Saratov Airlines have become the leaders in the third category with 121 flights; Avia Management Group has topped the list of airlines of the fourth category with 45 on-time flights. The last four groups were represented by foreign airlines: Lufthansa is the leader in the fifth category; Swiss International Air Lines – in the sixth category; the seventh and eighth categories have been topped by, correspondingly, bmi and Air Baltic.

Domodedovo Airport plans to inform the passengers about the most punctual airlines of each category on monthly basis.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport organized the contest among the most punctual airlines more then 5 years ago, it was aimed to improve the passenger service quality. During this time the number of Russian and foreign partners of the airport linking Moscow with the hundreds of locations all over the world has grown to more then a third. According to the July, 1, 2012, 84 airlines operate flights from the largest national air hub to 244 international and domestic destinations, 88 of which are unique for the Moscow region.
