Delegation of ROSATOM Visited Hungarian Enterprise of Atomenergomash
OREANDA-NEWS. August 10, 2012. The Russian delegation headed by Deputy Director General for development and international business of the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM Kirill Komarov visited the Russian-Hungarian enterprise Ganz EEM (Budapest), reported the press-centre of ROSATOM.
The Russian delegation visited the production site of the enterprise, which is being actively modernized thanks to ROSATOM’s and Atomenergomash’s support.
“The products of the Hungarian machine-building industry have always been appreciated far beyond the borders of Hungary and Eastern Europe. Today your enterprise succeeds in combining the best traditions of the Hungarian engineering school and the modern approach to business administration. Rosatom is aware of this fact, and intends to use the capacities of Ganz EEM and other Hungarian enterprises more actively, for the purposes of implementation of NPP construction projects in Russia and in the overseas markets,” summarized the results of the visit K. Komarov.
Director General of OJSC Atomenergomash Andrei Nikipelov highly appreciated the results achieved by Ganz EEM. “Only for the first 6 months of this year, the volume of orders has grown by the factor of seven to make up almost 50 million dollars. It is symptomatic that more than 30 million dollars of those are accounted for by orders from Russia,” said A. Nikipelov. The forecast for the annual turnover of Ganz EEM in 2012 reaches 5.35 billion forints (more than 23 million dollars). A. Nikipelov emphasized that Atomenergomash supports the plans of Ganz EEM in respect of further modernization, whereas closer cooperation of the Hungarian company with other enterprises of OJSC Atomenergomash is needed. “Since Atomenergomash is a complex supplier, it will allow optimizing our complex offer for the customer,” he noted.
In the first half of this year, Ganz EEM fulfilled all its orders in a timely manner, stated Director General of the company Attila-Sitar Chanadi. In particular, Ganz EEM has supplied 9 pumps for unit # 3 of Rostov NPP with the cost of 2.7 billion forints (more than 12 million dollars). “Until the end of this year and next year another 9 pumps for unit # 4 of Rostov NPP will be delivered,” he said. Furthermore, the company will manufacture 8 similar pumps for the Baltic NPP.
The Company is also implementing the order for the manufacture of the parts for the fuel handling machine for unit #1 of Leningradskaya NPP-2, and the reconstruction of the fuel handling machines for Mochovce NPP (Slovakia) and Dukovany NPP (Czech Republic). “Besides, we are participating in the tender for the supply of fuel handling machines for Rostov NPP and Novovoronezh NPP-2, and we are also actively operating in our traditional markets in Egypt, and participate in tenders in Hungary,” said A. Sitar-Chanadi. Ganz EEM is implementing its program aimed at the retention of young specialists and experience sharing by the older generation specialists, added Director General of the enterprise.
